Hey Y’all. My apologies for leaving this space vacant for so long. It has been a busy year for all of us so far.

First off, we’d like to let everybody know that Nina “The Queena” Singh has officially left Grady. The parting was mutual and Nina now has a new gig playing with The Courtyard Hounds (2/3 of The Dixie Chicks). Gordie and I would like to wish her the very best, and she will always (along with Chris Layton and Billy Maddox RIP) be a part of the Grady family.

In the meantime Grady has been working with drummer Trinidad Leal (from the Austin heavy rock band Dixie Witch www.myspace.com/dixiewitch ). Trini is an awesome drummer and a great guy and we are looking forward to cutting our fifth album with him. Hopefully we will be working on our new material in Sept/Oct and should have the new CD ready by the beginning of 2012.

In other news, for those of you who haven’t been paying attention, Gordie has had his hands full. Not only did he produce Canadian band Wide Mouth Mason’s brand new CD “No Bad Days”, but he is also playing bass with them on tour. Not only that, but Gordie has reformed his pivotal Rock-Reggae band Big Sugar and has just released their first new CD in ten years “Revolution Per Minute” and has been touring Canada with them and Wide Mouth Mason. Yours truly, has been mixing some of the shows, and let me tell you that this is one of the best shows I have ever been involved with. If you get a chance to check it out, please do.

Also I have been busy mixing Austin based Alejandro Escovedo and The Sensitive Boys all summer (another fantastic rock show).

Hope y’all have been having as great a summer as we have, and if you’re in Austin on August 18, come on down to the Continental and check out Trinidad for a full set with Grady.

See you soon
